Not sure how I missed this one, but it actually came out last september. This is off Gary Numan's newest "Dead Son Rising," and I really liked this video. Gary Numan is a favorite of mine. I love how he's written off as this old man and washed up new waver by so many people... man, they just have no idea... first of all he pretty much created much of what is the mainstreamness of electronica (funny to think that LMFAO wouldn't exist without some old British rocker)... but besides that, he's still far creepier than any of these modern "metal" bands, or whatever... you feel when he does his thing that this is just him, and he really owns the way he comes off... like it's not for show even one little bit... I feel like he has a lot of demons...
Even so... Gary Numan is always on the cutting edge of coolness... check out this interview from GQ, of all places... HERE....
Seriously, though... if you look at this other vid (those of you over 30 will remember this), you'll see the very dark, spooky, and heavy Fear Factory get totally trumped by Numan's gloom.... as they look like clean cut guys, and Gary Numan really sells the "I'm stealing your soul" like some dark entity in a sci-fi movie as he sucks up fear factory's lead singer, Burton, appearing in his place... It's like an Agent in the Matrix. (on an off note, Numan's Gloom would make a great band name)..
